About Schwan Travels
Travel has always been more than a vacation to me. It is the anticipation of what is ahead, the places that stay with you long after you return home, the people you meet along the way, and the stories you bring back with you.
I'm Jen Schwan, the founder of Schwan Travels, a boutique travel agency based in Pennsylvania. After years of working as a travel advisor and building a business around relationships, firsthand experience, and thoughtful planning, I created Schwan Travels as a place where travel could be approached a little differently.
I don't believe luxury travel is simply about the most expensive hotel or the longest list of inclusions. To me, luxury is having the right experience, in the right place, with the right people, and knowing that every detail has been thoughtfully considered. Sometimes that means an extraordinary safari or an expedition to Antarctica. Sometimes it means a beautifully planned family trip, a multigenerational adventure, or finding the perfect small hotel in a place you've always wanted to explore.
My own travels have taken me across 38 countries and all seven continents, and those experiences have shaped the way I plan travel for my clients. I value firsthand knowledge, authentic experiences, beautiful surroundings, and the freedom to actually enjoy a trip rather than spend your time managing it. I also understand firsthand what it means to travel as a family, and how much thought goes into creating a trip that works for everyone.
But Schwan Travels was never meant to be just about me.
One of the things I am most excited about is building an agency where talented advisors can bring their own experience, perspective, and relationships to the table. That is why I am so happy to have Christine Nemshick-Lauer and Margaret Wolf as an integral part of Schwan Travels.
Christine and Margaret each bring their own experience as travel advisors, along with the knowledge, relationships, and care they have developed through years of working with their clients. They are not simply an extension of my business. They are an important part of what we are building together.
The three of us share a belief that great travel planning starts with listening. We want to understand how you travel, what matters to you, what you are excited about, and sometimes even what you don't know you are looking for yet. From there, we use our experience and industry relationships to create travel that feels personal rather than packaged.
